USAF installation in Albuquerque, New Mexico, home to nuclear weapons storage and the Air Force Research Laboratory. Connected to multiple UAP investigations including the Kirtland AFB intrusions of 1980, where unidentified craft were observed and tracked over secure nuclear storage areas.

Kirtland AFB hosts the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center and Sandia National Laboratories. The base stores nuclear weapons and is considered a high-security installation. It is also home to the Air Force Research Laboratory's Directed Energy Directorate. In 1980, a series of UAP intrusions over the base's nuclear weapons storage area were documented in an AFOSI report by Agent Richard Doty. The objects were tracked on radar and observed visually by security personnel. The incidents occurred around the same time as Paul Bennewitz was allegedly intercepting transmissions he attributed to the Dulce facility. Agent Doty later became a controversial figure, admitting to spreading disinformation in the UAP field on behalf of the government, while simultaneously confirming the reality of some incidents at Kirtland.
